| Ministry to Orphans in Haiti (Updates Underway) |

Located in the Northwestern province of Haiti, the training center is developing in a phased approach. Currently 12 orphaned boys are enrolled in a program that provides comprehensive education and agricultural training. Expansion is planned on an annual basis by adding a new class as each existing class progresses to the next level.
The center is staffed with qualified, accredited instructors. As part of the discipleship objective, they attend daily Bible class. Students are offered a free but valuable education, but they are also required to participate in the work program where they learn vocational skills and over time will accumulate a savings to help them begin a business or a farm.
Short term teams from the U.S. have multiple opportunities each year to invest in these boys and participate in the property development.
Homes for OrphansHeart of the Bride is now building a second home for orphans in Northwest Haiti. The children from Zabet have been a part of of feeding ministry for two years. This small, remote village is home for over 60 full orphans who lost their parents to natural disaster. They have lived in very difficult conditions for the past few years as the local pastor has worked diligently to keep them sheltered, sustained, and educated. The home that has recently been funded will keep many of them from sleeping in the mud after a rain.
Feeding Ministry to Orphans
Through the extensive time that we have spent in Haiti, we have encountered a tremendous ongoing need for food. As a result, HOB began sending relief funds in 2006 to help provide rice and beans for multiple Haitian orphan ministries. In late 2007, we partnered with Feed My Starving Children to send a container of nutritional food packets that will provide for approximately 300 orphans for one year.
